@haha_girrrl I was there for 15 months after 30 years of coding. I was on top of my game, to include running multiple teams as an exec. Then in one day, gone. Finally, I got tired of holding my hand out and waiting for AI to take my job anyway. Bought an HVAC franchise. Freedom!

Unemployment is brutally isolating. Hands down the darkest, loneliest period of my entire life. Months of applying nonstop, giving 100%, and still not even getting a single interview. You start feeling completely worthless. Like you have zero value. Like you don’t matter to the world anymore.

@mert 12 months ago I was laughing at the code output by AI. Now I don’t write any code, produce 10x the output, and laugh with AI. It’s moving at light speed. Soon you will be able to ask for anything and it will be done. It already is…it’s just going to get faster.
