@Eb55216Ebuka Honestly, if the editor is a beginner, charge low and don't argue about revisions. If he is experienced charge higher ($200) and set revision limit. When you charge low, clients either think you are desperate or you want experience. So they will make you work for it.

@lavnish277709 Depends on your skill level ofcourse. If you have no experience and are building a portfolio, work cheap like $50-$100. But don't sit with that price for more than two months. You'll burn out and be demotivated. I see editors working for $100 a vid with 2 years experience.

Cheap rates train creators to treat editors like software assets instead of creative directors. ​When you act like a commodity, you get treated like one. If you want to be treated like an authority partner, price like one.

Unpopular opinion: High-end sound design matters infinitely more than flashy visual effects. You can look away from a screen, but you can't close your ears.

If a creator’s video drops 40% retention in the first 5 seconds, it’s rarely the editor’s fault. It’s almost always a weak hook script. Good editing can’t save a bad script.
