Thanks for the tag linkz, I don't often comment on things but I've got a few things to say here. While I do not consider myself a fully from scratch assets creator, I do put avatars together with assets made from scratch by me and some assets bought with commercial licenses from other lovely creators, which I often try to edit and sometimes even end up completely retexturing / UV reunwrapping and adapt those assets to my likes (always crediting the creators ofc). This is good and NEEDED for the market and the community. Kitbashing is easy but kitbashing while making something unique and putting lots of work on assets customization, compatibility and animations logic isn't something everyone does. While I do agree some *fully from scratch avatars* should be sold more than the kitbashed avis, it also depends on the kitbashed avi used for comparison, while I have seen many low effort kitbashed avis being pumped out every other week, I have seen many kitbashed avis being made with lots of love and work being put on and they should not be swept under the same rug as the low effort ones. However I have heard many users complain about price tags on avatars, even with a fully from scratch avatar it would still need to be kept at a lower price range than its probably worth, unless, sadly, you're popular, get lucky with twitter algo or get good collab exposure, UNLESS the avatar looks awesome. It's always good to differentiate within the category, in this case possibly being low effort / love ones from high effort, love AND post-release fixes and love. We are humans, we can make mistakes and it can happen to release an avi with few issues, I have learnt this over the past few releases, it bothers me alot finding out there's an issue on one of my products but I think as long as issues get addressed in reasonable time, its ok ( this would be so much better and easier if we could have an easier way of uploading avis back ) (I miss you Third3d <3 )

While I might have a different take on AI, but I absolutely have this take on kitbashed Avatars. It's why I always try and stick to creators like @datguyfulvr and @CastellVR who i think are woefully underpaid for assets that they themselves make. It's sickening that someone can just buy a bunch of other people's assets for a few bucks each, slap them all on a body they also bought from someone else and get paid the same amount of money as someone making a fully handmade avi. It's robbery. But the custom creators can't charge more because the market it flooded with kitbashers. The last kitbashed avi I used regularly, had issues that the creator outright ignored when called out. Not saying they are all like that, but they simply don't have the pride in their work (since it's not theirs) of someone who created something by hand.
