When my mom passed, I was alone at home because my husband wasn’t in town then. I was so emotionally disorganized while traveling that I forgot my apartment key at home. So I called the lady that made my hair because she lived close to me and asked her to help lock up the house and keep the key. I came back 3 weeks later and this woman had practically finished my foodstuffs 😭 The craziest part was how casually she said: “When you come you buy rice, garri and Indomie because I chop from the ones you left... Na only your spaghetti I too touch. I don chop the yam wey dey house.” 😭 I just collected my key and stopped talking to her after that. Maybe it sounds petty, but that behavior irritated me deeply.

Nobody talks about this enough, The reason most people never grow on social media has nothing to do with the algorithm. It has nothing to do with posting time. It has nothing to do with hashtags. It has nothing to do with follower count. It has everything to do with this: They are posting content. But they are not saying anything. There is a massive difference between posting and communicating. Posting is putting words on a screen. Communicating is making someone feel something, think something, or do something differently because of what you said. Here is what posting without communicating looks like: Generic motivational quotes with no personal context Reposting other people's content with zero added opinion Writing threads that inform but never connect emotionally Captions that describe what is in the image instead of telling a story Asking for engagement without giving a reason to engage And here is what real communication looks like: Sharing an opinion that could start a debate Telling a story that makes someone feel less alone Teaching something in a way that makes it click for the first time Asking a question you genuinely want the answer to Being honest about something most people pretend is not true The accounts that grow are not always the ones with the best content. Reading through the comments is sad. As a person who has used pads, tampons and cup, I find that cups are the most comfortable period product you’d ever use. It holds so well, fits so well you won’t even notice just follow the insertion instructions. Less messy than pads, not itchy at all and no it doesn’t spill if inserted correctly I may add. Pads are itchy, messy, and leaves there feeling so hot they cook your coochie while you’re at it. Rather than throw shades, and talk cr@zy at sth you’ve never given a chance, keep an open mind about it. You won’t know how comfortable, fresh and dry it leaves you feeling during your period until you’ve tried it. 🤗🤗
