@BrettSBaker Correct. When the local team is doing well, people are excited, the games you cover matter more and more people watch/see/hear your coverage. While anyone would be adversary to the local team is beyond me.

@dave_polzin It’s one thing to be objectively critical, I think that’s what a good journalist does. But you’re right, no matter the market, especially college, there’s not a lot to be gained by being antagonistic & adversarial just for the sake of going against the grain.

Hopefully recruits and parents of recruits - realize that there are many “media” who are absolutely an adversary of the Husker program. I don’t think I’ve ever seen anything else like it in other markets. 😞

I was watching a baseball practice and something just clicked. Sometimes there is carryover from other sports. This is a drill we started using to teach QBs how to “flip their hips” around to get the ball out immediately to the side of their throwing arm.
