@NickHorob Hi @NickHorob - your facts are a little off. @Figured is doing fine and the North American business is growing nicely thank you..... and all that "manual re-categorisation" is actually done automagically. But there is room for both approaches in the market.

One of the more common requests we have received at HarvestProfit.com is a QuickBooks integration. Here was my recent reply to some asking about it. “We have went down the path of an accounting integration in the past. The issue we kept running into is the fact that you need to categorize and slice and dice your accounting data in such a way that it creates a lot of extra work. You need to split up transactions and assign them to a crop year and a crop. And there’s no good way to attach product/variety data in most accounting systems. Others have tried and it has always ended up being overly complex. So that’s a long-winded answer on why we haven’t fully gone down that path.” Farm Credit Services of America brought Figured to the US and rebranded it Magnify. It was a farm management software tightly integrated with the accounting software Xero and a very good attempt. It was closed after two years as usage was underwhelming due to it being hard to use. There are definitely some operations that will take the time to classify/split transactions but we are very cautious when it comes to adding more work to use Harvest Profit.

@ChrisKeall Dang. If it runs on android without any local content storage why don’t they focus on making a really good fully functioning android and appletv app and forget the hardware. No one is buying sky cos they love the hardware - they are buying for the sports and the channels.

@dairymanNZ Yeah we should just stop any further investment into rural broadband and divert the investment into other needed rural infrastructure. Starlink is pretty bloody decent.
