training an agent is one of the best places i've found to play with emergent design. a sandbox with tight feedback loops plus an intelligence which riffs with my curiosity creates surprising and weird patterns

Big QOL win with OpenClaw: My Granola transcripts sync to a folder on my mac mini every ~15 minutes and Chewy periodically checks it for a new meeting summary/transcript He then reviews the summary and transcript and pulls out next steps, action items, etc. He suggests which things he can take care of and which things I need to take care of. He also updates the docs related to my ongoing retainers

to my unborn son, in 2026 I spent a lot of my time gathering piles of text and images and then talking to the piles all day.

He’s also figuring everything out on the fly. And having a really fun time of it.

Sat with a serial founder today. He’s been putting off building in music for years because it wasn’t viable. Now it is. His whole landscape shifted. Who he gets to work with. What a company can even look like. He’s building a music tooling company and hiring musicians backed by agents. It looks a lot more like a studio than an office.

What does the future agent training rig look like? What’s the interface? People act out their jobs and the rig captures it. Recording a skill for OpenClaw is not dissimilar to this.

It's been like almost a year since I talked with @davegorum on how design as a practice is evolving: "The capabilities of a single individual are expanding dramatically, which is going to reshape what design even means. It’s no longer just visual design or UX design. The boundaries are blurring." It's wild how things are turning from semi-theories to more grounded facts.
