WDW has this great ride—huge capacity, loads quick, line moves, relaxing, great break from the heat and crowds. I wonder if Disneyland ever thought of having an attraction like this?🤔

Looks like Disneyland is pavementing over the westernmost wedge of the old Motor Boat lagoon to expand the sitting area behind Eidelweiss Snacks (the old loading dock). There goes my dream of the boats returning!

Expansive construction of Porto’s has forced closure of pathway by World of Disney. The normal tram loading zone is a walkway to Downtown Disney; tram loading zone is in normal drop off area. Porto’s construction area is so large, are we sure they aren’t adding a Walmart?

DCA 25th anniversary magnets

For its 25th, Disneyland stayed open for 25 straight hours, aired a TV special, held a year-long birthday party & parade, & had special entertainment, merch, & anniversary exhibit at the Preview Center. It about evens out since DL also upped admission prices that year by 6%—to $8

With the opening of Lululemon, Downtown Disney is breaking the old ESPN Zone into a series of smaller shops (it takes up just one story of one corner). No sign of the Disney/Lululemon collaboration like at the nearby Disneylander shop; just a standard Lululemon store

As accomplished as he was as an Imagineer, the late Eddie Sotto & I first crossed paths over his comic contributions to the underground cast member newsletter Jungle Drums back when he worked at Disneyland in the late 1970s. Eddie was a boundless talent and an even better person.
