GCC Secretary-General Jasem al-Budaiwi called Iran's accusations "baseless and unacceptable," saying Tehran has not only attacked UAE territory but is now trying to twist the facts on top of it. "GCC countries stand united with the United Arab Emirates and support all measures it takes to preserve its security, stability and sovereignty." U.S. Central Command just announced it will launch a full naval blockade of all Iranian ports starting tomorrow, Monday at 10 a.m. Eastern Time. The operation will stop every vessel entering or leaving Iran while allowing ships headed to other countries to pass. It follows the collapse of peace talks in Pakistan and President Trump’s earlier order to enforce a blockade of the Strait of Hormuz. CENTCOM says the move is to prevent Iran from continuing its aggression and to secure safe passage for international shipping.
