@9mmsmg I make so many friends mad by comparing manual transmission to manually adjusting valve timing. All actual serious driving shifted to DCT or equivalent a decade ago. Nothing wrong with nostalgia, but it's only better because you're having fun.

Manual transmissions suck outside limited circumstances. The veneration towards them comes mostly from the same place beard culture and black coffee love come from. Men need to still feel masculine in a feminized and (historically) easy world.

@9mmsmg I have a manual VW GTI and an automatic Jeep. The Jeep is automatic cause rock crawling. If I didn’t rock crawl it would be a stick. I’m 66.
