@Filmwatchers1 Love this guy’s breakdowns! Also, this is great vision right here. At this moment his head is still facing that A gap, but he can see the opposing helmets all shaded inside for the next 2 gaps to his right from his peripheral vision. Uses his balance and quickness to get there 👍🏻

@BillTZimmerman Due to injury, we didn’t get to see whether the Dayo and/or Shemar moves were good. Dayo certainly underperformed prior to the injury, but small sample size. Point is, zero return from these guys in 2025 does not guarantee zero return from them in 2026.

Bears fans, how do you think the Bears have done addressing their DL this far?

Broncos are trading for Miami WR Jaylen Waddle, per source. Denver receives: Waddle and Dolphins’ 4th-round pick (11th in round) in this year’s draft. Miami receives: Broncos’ 1st round pick (30th overall) along with their late 3rd and 4th round picks (30th in each round) in this year’s draft.

@ButkusStats @TommyK_NFLDraft Agree - hope stick more to BPA. My opinion is (primarily) use FA/trades to fill this year’s roster and use the draft to just acquire talent. But Poles has always weighed BPA to a fair extent. I think Kyler and Brisker were both BPA at a time we were screaming for offensive help

@TommyK_NFLDraft Yeah, they did invest in Dayo. But I think even that was a band aid allowing them to go BPA in the draft. I hope they stick to the BPA concept they showed last year. It was a real change for Poles, and one that I think paid off in year 1.

@gridironborn @ButkusStats I like Big Bill, but probably don’t love that he was so much bigger last year when DA seems to prefer quickness over size at DT, no?

I know the thought is… that I hate Ryan Poles Honestly, out of the last 4 GMs… he’s the most likable when it comes to personality. I just think he leaves a lot to be desired It shouldn’t take 4 years to finally fix an OL and 5 to still have major problems on the DL #Bears

@Johnathan_Wood1 @ArthurArkush This is very very dumb. They would have to escrow $44m for Maxx. From the DJ Moore deal, they free up $24m from escrow. The Chicago Bears organization absolutely has $20m in liquidity. (For reference, CJ Gardner Johnson has $38m in cash liquidity.)

Schefter just straight said the Bears aren't going after Crosby because they don't have the cash. Not cap space, cash. If you can't afford to run an NFL team, sell the damn team. Bears nuking a contention window because they can't afford to spend what it takes.

@MichaelGus57 I think we’re unused to this as Bears fans, but part of roster improvement year over year is player development and familiarity with the (consistent year over year - also rare for us) scheme. Successful teams lose talent, and rarely fully replenish in free agency

The very best way to summarize this is that the Bears stayed the same. I think even that is a stretch to say. Need an unexpected move or an absolute masterclass of a draft to see roster improvement.
