The South African enterprise sector is fighting the wrong war. Corporate treasuries are panicking over the June 30 Draft Capital Flow Regulations, begging the state for policy exemptions. They are missing the point: You don’t fight a policy mismatch with lawyers. You fight it with architecture. 🧵

BEARISH: By ensuring crypto cannot be recognized as legal tender or money under the National Payment System Act, we're effectively trapping crypto inside a cage. This ties perfectly in favour of other regulation changes our country is making. This worries me because...see more

Why are Web3 protocols allowed to extract value from the African market without investing in our local talent pool? Whenever a global project expands here, the default strategy is always the same: launch a superficial "ambassador program" to manufacture hype and drive wallet numbers. Meanwhile, the actual high-paying roles like developers, business managers, and co-founders remain centralized in the West. We need to stop accepting cheap marketing disguised as community building. If a Web3 company wants to tap into our market, they should be required to hire and employ locally. Are we satisfied being just an acquisition metric on a pitch deck, or is it time we demand real economic integration and sustainable jobs? Let's talk. #Web3Africa #TechTalent #EconomicGrowth

Stop treating Africa as an acquisition metric for your pitch deck. If a Web3 protocol wants to tap into our market, they need to establish actual roots here. We don't need another tier of unpaid community ambassadors. We need salaries paid to local developers, operators, and business managers. Real economic growth happens when capital is invested in local builders, not when we're used as a vanity metric for active wallets. #Web3Africa #TechTalent 🇿🇦

Ambassador tiers are just cheap marketing disguised as community. If Web3 wants the African market, the entry fee must be real jobs. Hire local Developers, Business Managers, and Co-founders. We demand actual economic growth, not another hype cycle. #Web3 #AfricaTech

Most "Agentic AI" is just a ChatGPT wrapper that can't actually execute. The real leap is happening at the oracle layer. Agents can now verify off-chain data and trigger smart contracts autonomously. If your AI can't execute value trustlessly, it's just a chatbot.

Giving AI a corporate credit card is a legacy trap. The real breakthrough is giving autonomous agents non-custodial wallets. With agents now natively spending USDC for compute on Stellar.

Rowell Holdings has just been mandated to pioneer a massive blockchain rollout with a major university in South Africa. 🎓🇿🇦 We are currently evaluating protocol partners and Web3 companies to back the infrastructure and ecosystem growth. If your network wants to support active, real-world utility and developer onboarding, my DMs are open. Let’s talk partnerships.

Price action is noise. The real signal is infrastructure. While the broader market bleeds today, XLM surged 25% because the @The_DTCC is officially bringing its $100 trillion settlement engine to the Stellar network.
Stellar@StellarOrg

Today, @The_DTCC and SDF are announcing plans to enable the tokenization of DTC-custodied assets on Stellar. The connection supports the rapid conversion of traditional assets into tokenized form, and the full asset lifecycle, including corporate actions and reporting.

The internet let us send copies of information. Blockchain lets us send actual value, instantly, without a middleman taking a cut. Think of Layer 1 (like Stellar or Ethereum) as the foundational concrete highway, it’s where the absolute truth of who owns what is written. Layer 2 networks are the fast lanes built on top, handling thousands of cheap, rapid transactions before bundling them back down to the main road. For Africa, this isn't about speculative trading; it's about pure economic survival. When sending money across borders inside the continent costs up to 15% in legacy banking fees, programmable settlement rails rewrite the rules. A farmer in South Africa can receive a micro-payment from Kenya in seconds, for fractions of a cent, completely bypassing the friction of traditional banks. It turns a fragmented continent into a single, frictionless economy.

99% of wallets are just reskinned UIs solving the same basic key management problem. The real differentiator isn't the interface, it's the programmable settlement rails, zK privacy, and agentic integration underneath. What is the actual moat?
