Trump says we had great talks with Iran. Iran says there were no such talks. There’s some chance Trump made that up to calm the markets. But there’s also some chance his advisers told Trump there were talks to appease him. The president living in an alternate reality is not good.

as a seasoned Trump watcher it's clear to me that his tale about Iran reaching out to make "a deal" to end his war of aggression is mostly if not entirely fabricated and represents a desperate attempt to find an offramp before the economy and his political standing totally tank

He creates his own imaginary reality which, if true, would give him an escape from the predicament he put himself into. Then he repeats the lie endlessly, knowing that most of his base will accept the false reality. And all will be forgotten once the new crisis hits.

BREAKING: Trump claims that Iran called him last night and that they are agreeing to "not have nuclear weapons any more". NOTE: Iran never had nuclear weapons and has always agreed to not produce nuclear weapons. Trump has no clue what he is even talking about. Iran claims they didn't even talk.

It's quite effective to simply read a transcript of what Trump says rather than watching the actual video. When read with another voice, Trump's incoherent blather becomes more obvious. His stream of consciousness is jumbled and irrational. youtube.com/watch?v=AwZ_yP…
