@TheVelvetVoyce It actually has been duplicated (literally/sort of). See “Blue” by the band Mostly Other People Do the Killing. Which, of course, only goes to support your point about the venerated status of the original.

There's opinion, and then there's fact. And the FACT is, no matter what the opinion, Miles Davis's "Kind of Blue" is a classic, monumental album that has not been duplicated since 1959. Period.
