SCOOP: @netflix CEO Ted Sarandos is scheduled to meet with AG @PamBondi, WH chief of staff @SusieWiles and DOJ antitrust officials imminently today as he tries to save his bid to purchase @wbd's studio and streamer from almost certainly being challenged by the Trump Administration on antitrust grounds and its alleged progressive political bias in which it pushes this content with its ever growing market clout. Also on the agenda I am told are remarks made by @netflix board member @AmbassadorRice a top Dem and former Obama national security adviser who threatened retribution against cos that "take a knee" in their dealings with the Trump Administration. Unclear if Sarandos is meeting with president Trump (who has called for Netflix to fire Rice) despite his intention to do so, as I was first to report. @WBD is now weighing a rival "sweetened" bid from @paramountco - @Skydance and its decision could be swayed by how these meetings today go for Sarandos. @wbd could make an announcement on bidding war after the closing bell, I am told, though this has NOT been confirmed by the company. It was great to return to @MilkenInstitute Middle East & Africa Summit. A rare opportunity to hear from Global CEOs on their use of AI & directly from key UAE leaders on AI Strategy. Fascinating that Emirates already using a small nuclear reactor for this, while the US has none!
