@Boxingtalkg @floydthom2 I’ve found as I’ve got older mobility work for the body allows me to recover much better as well as get better work in and actually feel much more athletic in my own movements of the body.

@davidcoldwell @floydthom2 Me too 💪 except my mobility work is 30 mins treadmill… 30-45 lifting. And my 48 year old ass gets infrared therapy , hydro massage and cyro therapy for another 30 mins too. 6 days a week. Being own boss gives me time to ❤️ me some me.

So many people giving out BS advice on training.
Regular humans don’t need to spend 2hrs in a gym 5 days a week to look, feel and be healthy and in shape.

ideally, your gym routine should look like this: Monday – 2hrs (back & bicep) Tuesday – 2hrs (shoulder & triceps) Wednesday – 2hrs (full body) Thursday – rest Friday – 2hrs (leg day) Saturday – 2hrs (abs & chest) Sunday – rest day. do this consistently for one year and you will get your best body shape.

@davidcoldwell I’ve tried doing 5 days a week, it ends up being counterproductive- everyone’s different but I found I walk round like a zombie so I do day on day off, not 2h either, I wouldn’t get to work, where do they find the time🤷🏻♂️

@davidcoldwell I do 20 mins of cycling daily and around 20 of weights every other day to lose weight along with a decent deficit - good start? Down 2.5 stone since last June

@floydthom2 Infra red sauna, cold shower as long as it’s not straight after a heavy weights session - if i have trained weights I’ll leave the cold shower a few hours.
Once a week ice bath.
Mobility every morning.
