Over a decade ago, our paths first crossed when Olatunji Disu was leading the RRS in Lagos as an Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP). What started as a professional encounter grew into years of collaboration in some of the most demanding security operations, where innovation wasn’t a luxury but a necessity.
These photos capture moments that words often struggle to explain fully. Moments in the field. Moments where technology meets real-life urgency. Moments where decisions are made not just with experience, but with foresight.
As a technology and drone specialist, I’ve had the privilege of working alongside a leader who understands that the future of policing lies in intelligence, precision, and the smart use of tools. From deploying drones in surveillance operations to integrating technology into real-time decision-making, I’ve seen firsthand how intentional leadership can transform outcomes.
What stands out most is not merely the adoption of technology, but the IGP’s deliberate commitment to engaging new technology and deploying it where it delivers real impact.
Now, as he steps into this new role, I am genuinely excited to continue working with him, just as I have done for over a decade, contributing to a shared vision of smarter, more effective policing.
For Nigeria, this isn’t just another appointment. It’s an opportunity to reimagine policing, one that is smarter, faster, and more responsive to the realities we face today.
From the ground up, I’ve seen the evolution. And if these moments are anything to go by, the journey ahead holds real promise.
