Proud moment of the @OSThornhill development, led by @davidisasmith and Sam Sparrow who have done an almost impossible task of driving this project forward within budget but also within undiluted ambitions of what the space can be for our community 👊🏼

@MrEwanMorrison I still often think about the basket weaving scene. Its a great metaphor.

The Day of the Triffids was one of those great Sci-fi stories that just couldn't make it onto the screen with credible monsters. John Wyndham's 1951 novel with its flesh eating plants had real problems when it came to moving from A to B on their root legs.

@kohproco I agree. I have always survived on less than that, even when I was in the industry! Hope you are well.

@davidisasmith Yup! But I think we will get little sympathy from this article -earning £50K by October and being able to survive on savings until Spring in the middle of a cost of living crisis when people earning a lot less without savings are really suffering-bit of shock to telly peps though

Private wind farm developers across rural Scotland are claiming delivery of '#communitywealth' funds. They aint. It is wee £ hand outs. Communities and Councils being consulted on proposals need to be very sceptical. Ideally we need more direct community and council owned farms.

Arts funding is Scotland is dire. I wrote a poem ‘Shoestring’ because that’s how it is.

We asked you: How can we make sure everyone benefits from community energy? Here's what Mike from Nith Valley Leaf Trust (Dumfries and Galloway) said. #CESconference23

Albums of Scotland: 'Meet Danny Wilson' (1987). Debut album by Dundee's Danny Wilson, becoming a significant hit in America on the strength of the summer of 1987 hit single 'Mary's Prayer'.

Film Twitter/X - I’ve been asked to do a workshop for directors making their first feature. I have my own ideas but what would be most useful to you? BTW it’s in Glasgow. Would appreciate your comments, thanks.

My friend, who is from Cheshire, moved up to Glasgow and got a job. She asked me why everyone was so addicted to kebabs, because everyone was always saying they were going for a "wee donner," at lunchtime.

@Loran_Dunn How to find the right writer/director to work with and how to steer them towards something that the audience is going to like rather than something that expunges something for them personally.

Ok pals - I’m designing a new unit for my final year filmmaking students about HOW TO ACTUALLY GET A JOB / RUN A BUSINESS. What are all the “no one ever taught us how to do this at Uni” skills you wish you had been taught before graduating?
