@MarkCalabria Agree. We need to better understand what support helps and what doesn’t. DPA is important - I got mine from my father - but we need to ensure it doesn’t inflate the market or add to defaults. No one on either side of this discussion has adequate data on this.

IMHO one of the understudied areas of housing policy is all the demand subsidies offered by state/local governments, such as down payment assistance
