Virtually every trainer I hear that complains that their clients aren’t compliant enough to the things they want them to do. The ones that complain that they are “lazy” and just want a “quick fix”. This is what you are missing. This is likely your problem and your solution.

We don’t wait until we have perfect home manners. We don’t wait until they can hold downstays for 3 hours. We don’t wait until we have fully trained all the dogs obedience. We expose them to the problem right away and begin to improve it.

When someone hires us because their dogs are fighting, we start working on that issue immediately. We put their dogs back together almost right away because that is the ONLY thing that is going to solve their problem.

If you live somewhere where you don’t have enough land to let your dog truly RUN do this 👇🏻 Buy a 100’ long line. Find a local field where you won’t bother anyone. And give your dog the ability to RIP. They will thank you & your behavioral challenges will immediately improve.

The single thing holding you back from improving your dogs social skills is subconsciously avoiding their triggers. Intentionally working on the things you know they WONT do well with will ensure that they learn how to act when you aren’t prepared for it.
