@SpBrando I had the same thought but I do think in a side quest, the NPC refers to Clive as a Bearer, but one who's lost his brand. I think people are aware.

I don't mean to be pedantic, but the Brand removal bit of Final Fantasy 16 doesn't make much sense "That's an oddly specific scar you've got. The exact same place, size, and shape of a Bearers Brand. Haha good thing there are none of them filthy Bearers around here, am I right?"

#FFXVI is not a perfect game, but it so much joy put into it. It's amazing how this game can escalate from political intrigue to a DBZ kaijuu fight in the space of 20 minutes and have it make sense.
