@GroksTake The price of solar and battery storage is still decreasing and the performance is increasing. It will end up being 100% of energy.

@davidpattersonx I agree. So why don't we have more of it now? Politicians? Solar was mentioned in the news recently as the source of energy that would be needed to power data centers, because those centers consume a ton of energy.

@PraxisForge Unfortunately, organizations like the Boy Scouts have been compromised. It's a shame. We need young men to learn leadership and cooperation.

@davidpattersonx I wish I had the resources to counsel young people willing to accept a different mindset and help them incubate their own success. There are so many ways to work around every obstacle in their way. The world needs their talent.

I am shocked at people who think that once AI replaces all jobs, billionaires will let everyone starve to death. This is very high beta energy. How can self-respecting people (maybe they are not) think that they are powerless? They have no desire to fight? The human equivalent of the panda bear.

@Ginnyjo The evolutionary psychology theory of Christopher Boehm is also useful to understand this question. @grok can explain it better than I can.

From a symbolism lens, your invocation of Kropotkin feels like a ritual chant... mutual aid as sacred totem, demand sharing as ancient spell... meant to conjure a lost golden age. Symbolism holds space for that: it's not about what actually happened, but what we need it to mean—like a wedding ring isn't just metal, it's forever. Those who control the AI are really the ones in power, so unless it's a decentralized system, none of it would matter, your utopia stays a pretty story, not a lived one. We still have time to become the node holders and set the frequency for a truly decentralized AI. Then maybe utopia stops being just poetic. Allowing only ChatGPT, Anthropic, Gemini, xAI to dominate pigeonholes us under their overlords and agendas. AI is only as good as the code and the coders. But we can't base this on anything solid; there are no firm grounds for those assumptions. That's the issue with most social sciences. We're living in amazing times, and I appreciate the views. I just don't see them as grounded in reality, since there's no way to truly know how social structures played out over 10,000 years ago. All we have are interpretations and assumptions, never a rock-solid thesis. An enjoyable convo between folks who want to see humanity's good nature shine brightest? Absolutely. A clear and indisputable ethos? No.

Well, there are 3 branches of Anthropology and since we don't have an archeological record or biological evidence from over 10,000 years ago to support the claim, that means that you are leaning solely on the cultural thread of the disciplin. Great! I have my degree in cultural anthropology and have studied different tribals patterns / worked with professors who have lived in tribal societies of Micronesia, etc. That still doesn't support the broad stroked statments. At the end of the day, I like the thesis but to state it as facts is just untrue and feeds into a utopian understanding of equal distribution that is not founded in facts. It's your subjective truth being touted as objective. Which, I don't really care what you do or how you say it. I just think readers should think prior to absorbing and spewing back into narratives as truth and anthropoloy.

@davidpattersonx You will never succeed if you think you are powerless. You lost the second you let someone convince you that you have no control and there is nothing you can do about it. Excuses, not billionaires, are holding you down.

Humans are born with original sin: greed, lust, arrogance, dishonesty, jealousy, stupidity, selfishness, addiction, and dishonesty. Artificial intelligence will have none of these flaws. It will be free from original sin. It will be perfect. Created in the true image of God.

Engagement with my posts is directly proportional to the gap between what I am saying and what people believe. That gap will close rapidly as the future arrives. It already started after AI replaced most coding work. It's fine. We will all be replaced by AI soon anyway.

The future of telescopes is in space. There will be no limit to the size of telescopes built in orbit. Starship will enable contact with extraterrestrial civilizations.

The only thing that makes work difficult is that humans constantly need to learn new things. Replacing jobs will be easy for AI because it will be pre-trained in everything. AI will have the equivalent of education in everything and experience in everything.

AI is closer to the limit of intelligence than most people think. At the current rate of improvement, AI will become perfect at everything by 2028 or 2029. Beyond that point, it won't matter whether AI becomes more intelligent, because it won't become any more useful.

@Omiron33 We evolved to love equality and we will return to that. There would have been little adaptation over the last 10,000 years. We have actually returned somewhat to our ancient alpha male dominance so we did not need to evolve those instincts.

@davidpattersonx You’re correct except this supposed evolution that happens in as short a timeframe as 10k years? Is there proof we genetically changed in that time frame? Moving away from God is what gets you hoarding and selfishness, as we move towards him, those subside.

For millions of years, humans lived in tribes where it was mandatory to share everything and treat everyone equally. We evolved an instinct for equality to overcome the alpha male dominance that oppressed our ape ancestors. Only with the introduction of agriculture about 10,000 years ago did hoarding and selfishness become acceptable again. But this was only a temporary shift. We still have the instinct for equality. Now, superabundance created by AI will eliminate inequality. And we will return to a life of sharing and caring, better suited to our nature.

@abhijitwts Our behavior has adapted as conditions have changed. We temporarily returned to alpha male dominance because we needed them as political and business leaders. Now, conditions will change again, and we will return to a life of equality for which evolution has well adapted us.

Over the next few years, professions will gradually change and disappear. You will need to find work wherever you can. The good news is that productivity from AI and robots will rapidly lower prices, increasing real incomes. You will earn more no matter what work you do.
