And just finished up a long day by voting yes on HB301, a school code bill that would help distribute funding for career technical programs, community colleges, student teacher stipends, and more.

Back in session today. Voted yes on HB221, which renews the age compliance check program administered by the State Police for places that sell alcohol.

The PSBA Governing Board wrapped up a few days in Washington, DC, attending the @CofSSBA Federal Advocacy Conference and meeting as a board. The team spent time on Capitol Hill sharing stories from their districts and advocating for #PublicEducation. #COSSBAAdvocacy

Today the #PAHouse Education Committee took a significant step toward fixing our broken charter school law by passing #HB1422, which will modernize our approach to cyber charter schools with transparency, accountability for taxpayer dollars, and data-backed funding reforms.

In 2019 PA's cyber charter schools reported PROFITS (!) of $152 million. Just one year later, they reported that their unassigned fund balances doubled. And your property taxes went up to pay for it. We need cyber #charterreform to bring oversight back to public spending.
