@wholemars Was just in SF myself, highlight of this video is the Standard Station (Chevron) at VanNess and Pine St, self-driving is awesome... so is not needing to fill up a gas tank

@brockpierson Having a mouse is cute. I created polygons by typing in 0,0,0 0,0,1 0,1,1 and bam, i had a plane defined by three vertices

We just added support for image generation models. @luminal_ai now has the fastest image editing models on the web!
We're making Qwen Image Edit free on Luminal for a limited time to showcase it. Check it out:

@stake_jevens Most impressive! My prompt: change the vehicle to a Porsche Boxster with same graphics and off-road gear. Didn’t put a clock on it but damn near two seconds for sure. Way faster than other models I’ve used to do similar.

Not for me. I have 9000+ miles at 95% FSD with v14. It’s awesome, but only 1/1000th as awesome as true unsupervised will be. Sitting in the back watching a movie with the wife and pup, sipping on a cocktail, that’s “the future”. Right now we are merely beta testers supervising while it learns, which is what I paid for, loving it! But the real leap happens with true FSD.

@wholemars New Tesla (HW3) owner here 🙋🏼♂️ Even on this “old, unusable” to some, hardware this is still the most remarkable car I’ve ever driven. The fact that it drives itself acceptably >95% of the time feels like being transported to the future. Unsupervised will just be icing on the cake.

It sells far better than the Rivian and F150 Lightning. My take is that people who buy pickups don’t believe electrics versions are viable replacements of their current trucks. I’m not at all a truck guy, I bought the CT because it is simply awesome. The main reason I bought it was because of how it looks and all its technical features. It’s the only vehicle I can recall that ended up even better in production than the revealed prototype. An SUV version would sell far better just as the Rivian suv does.
English

Hard but true answers to the question about why CT isn’t doing volume:
1) Because it is too expensive.
2) Because people hate the way it looks.
3) Because it attracts too much attention and people don’t want to deal with it, even though they like it.
4) They low-key like the way it looks, but are still too embarrassed to own it because of the way it looks.
5) Because it is a target politically for some stupid reason.
These are all reasons I’ve heard talking to people in my travels. I’d say being too embarrassed to own it because of how it looks is the most common thing I hear.

@SawyerMerritt I think we can all agree by now that if Tesla had a “normal looking” truck they would be selling more of them. If the Cybertruck is the best, why is nobody buying it?

@Balducci777 @zanehengsperger But did you notice the March 2004 issue of Road&Track

when spacex was getting started, the first and last men to walk on the moon testified before congress against it.
gene cernan told congress commercial space companies "do not yet know what they don't know."
he said the boeings and lockheed martins were "the folks who have been working on everything we've done for the last 50 years. they know how it can be done."
neil armstrong said he was "not confident" the newcomers could achieve their goals.
together with jim lovell they warned it would put america on "a long downward slide to mediocrity."
spacex now launches more rockets than every country on earth combined.
the experts will always tell you it can't be done. build it anyway!

English

Cybertruck is so awesome.
Until you’ve tried it out, you have no idea, because there’s nothing like it.
Best product Tesla has ever made to date.
Cybertruck@cybertruck
Cybertruck is extremely comfortable on long trips especially thanks to: – Minimal body roll – Comfort Mode on FSD (gentler acceleration & braking, softer damping, smoother handling) – Air suspension + self-leveling keeping the truck flat even with load

@JoshWest247 It didn’t check the “built by Porsche” box though 😜
