French President Macron: One of the main challenges of the European industry today, if we want to deliver this sovereignty agenda, is about China. China is literally killing a large part of the European industry — and we are clearly too slow to see that. Look at the automotive industry and the machine tool sectors. You have clearly a landslide approach of the Chinese. Last year they destroyed literally 250,000 jobs in Germany. We are less impacted because we deindustrialized in these sectors decades ago.





Computer Science majors are down 8% this year, the biggest drop since 2003-08. This is the beginning of the third major decline in CS in history. If you majored in CS during the last slump, youd have pretty well for yourself. I suspect history will repeat itself today.
