Noel Gallagher on the legacy of Oasis "Gone are the days when bands like The Smiths and The Jam would always be in the top ten. Oasis are probably the last of the big – and I use this term because I can’t think of another – ‘alternative’ bands to really make an impact on the country"

The Strokes definitely made a massive impact, though, at least for the generation after Oasis. They were very important to alot of people. Same with the Libertines. But neither had the massive sales. Arctic Monkeys had the sales for a while, but they were just a good band. Nothing wrong with that, but I don’t think of them as impactful in the same way. They weren’t a band to base your life on. That matters. Oasis had sales and cultural impact. Can’t think of another “alternative” band that had both like they did since them.

Denney and the Jets - Lovin’ Days Slow-rolling, gloriously messy on purpose, and teetering on the verge of collapse; like they’re covering every song on Exile on Main Street, at the same time. And it works. 2012.

We're busy packing suitcases of medical aid to bring to Cuba tomorrow. 🇮🇪 🇨🇺 GRMA to all who've assisted us source it (special thanks to Dr David Hickey). The USA is illegally and savagely strangling the island and crippling its people.

CNN: Breaking news. Cuba's electrical grid has suffered a complete and total collapse. The USA is a terrorist state. Hospitals, nursing homes, water treatment plants. All without power because of a cruel and illegal medieval siege of a tiny island.
