As the climate crisis accelerates, New Yorkers shouldn’t have to subsidize new gas hookups. That’s why I helped end the “100-foot rule” (Ch. 709 of 2025), reducing reliance on fossil fuels and moving our state toward a cleaner future.

On January 8, 1964, President Lyndon B. Johnson launched the War on Poverty, creating programs like Head Start, food assistance, Medicare, and Medicaid that families still rely on today. I remain committed to protecting these programs and fighting for our community.
