They did it. They finally really did it. The Irish renamed the Dublin park that honoured the Jew who fought the Germans, but kept the statue in a park honouring the lowlife who fought for them. Damn them all to hell.

How morally broken is Ireland? Depraved beyond belief: Dublin locals want a park named after Chaim Herzog, an Irish Jew who fought the Nazis and went on to be Israel's sixth president, renamed—but are fine with a statute to a Nazi, Sean Russell, in another Dublin garden.

Ireland's Dublin City Council has decided to rename Herzog Park, a park named after Chaim Herzog, Israel's 6th president and son of a Chief Rabbi of Ireland.
Jewish history is being erased. I honestly have nothing else to add, except that the Jews in Ireland have my deepest sympathies.

In November 1938, the Hallerstraße street and subway station in Hamburg, named for the Jewish Nicolaus Haller, had their name changed to the non Jewish Ostmarkstraße.
Thousands of places named for Jews in Germany were renamed by the Nazis.
Today, the city of Dublin voted to remove the name Chaim Herzog Park and change it to the Free Palestine Park.
There is nothing progressive about the Free Palestine cause. It is an old hate with a new flag.

This is an absolute disaster. Taking away money from ready-to-go public transport projects so that they can chuck more cash at new roads.
The exact opposite direction we should be going.
(Plus: the more you delay projects, the more they cost. Every time.)

DART+ South West is shelved until 2030. It has full planning approval since 2024, no judicial reviews and is ready to go but construction won't start until after 2030. A lot of housing around Adamstown and Clonburris built in anticipation of this upgrade.

Today's vote on the Omnibus Simplification Directive not only dismantles the Green Deal but also redefines the political majority governing Europe from now until 2029.
As of tomorrow, von der Leyen's political majority will be the right and far-right only, with devastating repercussions for the EU's economy, society, and democratic foundations - while giving Trump's administration a free hand in Brussels.
It's a short-sighted, self-defeating move for the EU EUCO injecting the same unpredictability that the Simplification agenda was meant to avoid!

Day 1 in Dublin, Ireland has been great. Landed and came to Shelbourne Hotel. Walked a lot, toured the city and had a great afternoon. Headed to dinner and I must say this place is SO NICE and clean. It feels very safe. Had a few Guinness 😀and yes they tasted GREAT.
