I got upgraded to first class for my flight back home with my dad but my dad didn’t… First I was going to give the upgrade to the person who was sitting next to my dad so I could sit next to him… We got to the seats and realized no one was sitting there… I looked to my dad and said, “you go up there, I’ll stay back here.” He said back to me, “Are you sure?” I said, “absolutely…” He responded with a smile, “thanks son…” It was a memorable moment for me because although I didn’t grow up with the finer things in life my dad taught me a way in which I could in my adult life… and because of that I got to bless his life in a small way on this trip… He’s one of my very best friends… he’s so fun. He’s a man of God. He’s great to my mom. He’s truly the best example of a man for what I needed… I don’t share this to boast but to help people realize that you can get the life you want and that life exists on the other side of hard… Do hard things… Do them daily… Do them often… I can write a book about how much I’ve been through. The anxiety, the fear, the self doubt, all of it. I’ve felt it all. I just never stopped. I want to pat my young self on the back when I was going through the thick of it and say… you have no idea how what you are doing right now and how it will bless not only your life but the lives around you. Keep going. I really think a lot of you are in a similar situation and I’m just here to say… don’t stop. You’ll never lose if you don’t quit. WAGMI not just in web3 but in life. Here’s a picture of my dad today as we sat at the overlook in Pittsburgh talking to strangers as happy as can be… this man has LIVED not because of money but because of who he is… I hope I can be half the man he has been to so many… love you dad.
