Seeing people having a pop at his football. Have a day off, this is brilliant recognition for his charitable work off the pitch. This looks so small minded. Please switch off bitch mode just for a while and give credit where credit is due.
Newcastle United@NUFC

Anthony Elanga has won the PFA Community Champion award for the 2025/26 season, celebrating his commitment to charitable work off the pitch. 🙌 Nominated by @NU_Foundation, the award recognises players committed to enriching the community around them, going above and beyond to support their club’s charity work throughout the season.

MATFEN HALL EXCLUSIVE🚨: Newcastle United manager Eddie Howe had the rare roast beef sandwich while Jason Tindall opted for the fillet steak ciabatta. It's understood the managerial duo also shared a charcuterie board less than two hours later. More to follow.

The craziest thing about the Howe I see now to the one I absolutely loved was his team were heavy on keeping the ball. Possession. Playing good football. Brave His philosophy now is what? I don't recognise a clear pattern. I can't tell you what he works on in training apart from transitional work We are terrible on the ball. Dreadful. And he hasn't signed players to address that fact. When he is given a player like Woltemade he doesn't see a spot for him or want to use him in his best position. So he tries to act clever & play him in midfield. His Bournemouth team were built on 4411 or 4231 whichever you prefer. Flying full backs. Double pivot in midfield. Inverted wingers. A second striker playing off an advanced forward. It was simple but hugely effective. What I don't understand is how he & Tindall haven't attempted to revert back to that? Not once. We have the players for it Two young flying fullbacks. Bruno & Tonali as your double pivot. We don't have an inverted right wing but we have Gordon or Barnes for the left wing slot. Woltemade playing off Wissa, Osula or Gordon. There's your team. Why is he stuck on 433? Why? When it clearly isn't working anymore. It even had its flaws when we were playing well. Why are we so bad at passing the ball with purpose? He got a team with Harry Arter & Andrew Surman to play fluid football but he can't get one with Bruno Guimarães & Sandro Tonali to do it? Make it make sense!! If he does stay I will be absolutely sick as I think he has lost the dressing room & lost the plot. I don't think he has a plan to change the direction this team is going in The only hope we have, if he does stay, is if he suddenly reminds himself of his philosophy & beliefs that made him successful to begin with. And then sign players, good footballers not athletes, to carry that out. This is a man who signed Jack Wilshere when no one else would. Where has that man gone? I don't recognise this manager anymore. And can he stop with the lies & the gaslighting through the media? You're kidding nobody with a brain Eddie mate. Just stop. Get back to your roots & give yourself a chance of being successful again. Someone get Tindall to take him down memory lane or something. Christ. #nufc

@beckw92047 To be fair this is what happened WITH Spurs when they ousted Pochettino when the problems actually lay elsewhere. They've been jumping from manager to manager every since and I worry we are about to go down the same path.

@FootyAccums @BoyleSports Two people with no interest in a football club talk speculative shite about its future and would revel in the disastrous result in exactly the same non responsible way. Fuck off the pair of you ( no offence).

@ToonFan14 Agree it's been a hard watch at times, especially in the league. I'm prepared to give him another chance, providing he gets help in the summer transfer. It's relevant to owld buggas like me cos I've witnessed both era's. Of course, no X in those days, so no keyboard managers.

I’m not sure how bad we were at football 50 years ago is relevant to what’s happening now. Yes, we won a cup but we’ve been poor for quite some time. And I don’t see the manager turning it round. Why is that entitled? Have you enjoyed watching us recently? And do you think he can turn it round?
