The O-wave continues but it seems to have peaked and is indeed less severe than delta. Fewer hospitalizations and fewer critically ill patients. The system is still stretched and delays in treating non-COVID patients are still a huge problem. Let us avoid Wave #5. #getvaccinated

The Bustamante Hospital for Children recorded 23 paediatric cases of the Coronavirus and some 60 health care staff out due to transmission. The reduction in staff numbers have caused the cancellation of 10 of their clinics.

@dawes_dr I have one unimportant question what category do the other 164 persons who are hospitalized fall into? Is it that the majority of the # considered hospitalized are actually there for other illnesses and just happen to test COVID-19 +ve?

I said it from last week, record number of cases by the end of this week. Can't be guided by cases and positivity rate moving forward. Focus on hospitalization and death rates. Test. Isolate. Treat. Screen for lung involvement. Treat.
