Proud dad moment today. My youngest and my soon to be DIL (next month) invited my wife and I over to see their new home that they closed on yesterday. No better feeling than seeing their faces light up with big smiles and hugs when they opened the front door and saw us.

I look at my life and I’m so shocked at myself sometimes. Mother died. Father died. Brother got killed. A miscarriage, followed by finding out I had Crohn’s on top on mentally and emotionally health decline and still managed to start a business, finish college TWICE, and still an amazing mother to my son. So when I look at myself in the mirror I literally see someone God didn’t give up on. I wake up everyday happy, smiling, blessed, and grateful. So it’s a reason why I don’t show much pity. It’s all about who YOU are and who YOU wanna be.
