🥎 Indianapolis Firecracker Starts Today! The Illinois Wave 2029-Rodriguez 14U team is in Indianapolis through Sunday. We will be competing in the Great Lakes Firecracker College Showcase—one of the largest college showcase tournaments in the Midwest! Featuring many of the nation's top travel softball programs and attracting more than 200 college coaches. ⭐ Over the next several days, the team, along with other Illinois Wave teams, will compete against outstanding competition from across the country. 💪 For Illinois Wave 2029-Rodriguez, the tournament guarantees five pool play games before bracket play begins over the holiday weekend. 📍 Canes Midwest Sports Complex Brownsburg, Indiana (just outside Indianapolis) If you're in the Indianapolis area this week, come out and support the girls. It has been an amazing month!! First to be ranked number 22 by Showtime Sports for the class of 2030, then IL Wave Rodriguez team won the Championship this past weekend, and just tonight we were notified I was selected to have the privilege of playing on Devon Field in Oklahoma. I am excited and honored to be able to wear the USA Softball jersey in August!! So pumped for this opportunity…

Bracket play started today with us getting a win 10-2 over Sycamore Sycos. Our bats were alive, I had seven strikeouts in six innings, giving up four hits and two runs. I pitched my first ball at five in the backyard with my dad, and continue to grind now. We all do right?!? We do what we do every week, still only some of us will actually earn a spot on a college team. If you do, you know how much your hard work has paid off. But then this happens… you are already standing with the best of the best teammates. Can you even imagine being there with them, your coaches, fans and find out surprise YOU have EARNED yourself a GOLDEN TICKET!! Amazing - AUSL and PSL are still uneven compared to MLB, but its building each year because of US.🍫♾️🥎♥️

This is a first that I’ve ever seen: challenging a call and you end up getting 3 strikes against you😅 Call on the field was out. Alabama challenged the call (obstruction on catcher) and ending up confirming the call was out, the runner at 3rd was ruled out because of the interference and then finally the runner going into home got a warning issues. You usually always see the catchers getting the short end of the stick but this time it’s the runner plus some.
