We had a wonderful day at @BishopFeild Elementary in St. John’s for the Playground Greening project as part of EnviroFest 2025! 🌿 With the help of our amazing staff volunteers, we teamed up with the school community to make the outdoor space greener, brighter, and more welcoming! We planted 12 trees around the grounds, added topsoil, and topped it all off with mulch. Our volunteers also spread pea stone around the playground area and tackled general clean-up and weeding to freshen up the space. One of our favourite parts? We gave the school’s pad-mount transformer a sunny makeover—painting it bright yellow with buzzing bees and cheerful “bee kind” messaging, thanks to our talented volunteer painters. 🎨🐝 This is one of five exciting projects supported by Newfoundland Power’s EnviroFest 2025 grant program.
