I can't believe it! I'm officially being sponsored on @github by @stripe! It's an amazing feeling to be recognized for the open source work I've been doing 😱 Honestly, I'm just getting started, I can't wait to show y'all what I plan on doing for OSS and e-commerce! 🥳🛒

everyone enthusiastically replying yes bro no one has the patience to read this shit it's very important, and thankfully _some_ people building harnesses care about it, that's good because users (even developers!) shouldn't have to care need to do something clever here to present this well

is there interest in a 4k+ word deep dive in building reliable agent loops (on cloudflare and elsewhere) writing down what I've done for building agents resilient to catastrophic failures on clients/servers/inference (with zero user code) and I need to get it out of my brain

thinking about ai and ethics is a time sinker i'm constantly checking with my core values and where my boundaries lie as an artist i have beef with gen ai but when is it a tool for creation and when does it become predatory? it's hard to pin point but if there's an uneasy feeling, i need to know why and it gets me thinking

@jamonholmgren I literally was thinking about this for my own life/career yesterday. When I think about my career, I'm full of so much regret, but then I think about who is around me (especially Pariss) and it grounds me. I still wish I didn't feel all this regret tho

If you're not following staysaasy what exactly are you doing. This is an incredibly wise perspective on life.

Some thoughts on the crazy AI money being made right now I have a close friend who had the opportunity, offer in hand, to be a very early employee (<25) at what is now a trillion $ company. Probably would've made a few billion dollars. Looking at his general talent level (he's extremely successful although he doesn't like, own a Hawaiian island), he probably would've risen high and it's not inconceivable that he would've made even more. Over the years, we've had a few discussions about what could've been. Including before he found his very significant success. Every single time he's basically said something like "yeah having a billion $ would be amazing but then I wouldn't have met my wife." As the years have gone by, he seems to have become even more content with how things went down. I suspect he literally never thinks about it. There were also years when it was clear he'd missed a generational bag and was *not* yet successful, and he just worked harder. Things could always have gone better and it's just not a productive thing to dwell on. And money just gives it an unfortunate scorecard. If someone said "maybe in another life I'd have kids I loved more," we'd write them off as a psychopath but when it comes to "what if I'd made more money" we excuse it. So if you missed that Anthropic offer but you've got a hot gf and loving parents and a cool dog or whatever, you gotta just keep it in perspective.

Yeah tbh a lot of these models and harnesses are different flavors of more or less the same thing. That's why so many people are torn about what's the best. I try to use the same methods across them all so I don't struggle to adapt. Like Matt Pococks grill-me skill has done wonders for me

started using /grill-me today to try and capture all things i find valuable in software design to start decomposing into static lints and review agents so I stop having to manually correct agents all the time. the draft of my "coding standards" captures me pretty well i'd say

@Dayhaysoos break it down and create as many static/deterministic lint rules w/ oxlint and ast-grep as I can, then build a review agent workflow on top of flue to handle the rest
