Wishing a happy birthday to the ace, @BobWeir🌹The bay area native was raised in Atherton, CA and later attended Fountain Valley School where he’d meet his first writing partner, John Perry Barlow. At around 16 years old, he would attend Pacific High School where he would join his first band, The Uncalled Four, who would perform just one show at The Tangent in Palo Alto. This would be the same night he would come across Jerry Garcia for the first time. Later on New Years Eve in 1963, he would run into Jerry again at Dana Morgan’s Music Shop in Palo Alto, and that would serve as the catalyst for a chain of events all leading up to the rise of the Grateful Dead.
