"I’ve always been an optimist and I believe the world will survive. It will unquestionably be a little less whole. But I know it’s only if we act now that stories such as the ones I share can be lived for generations to come." | @anjsharmaaa 🔑 satpa.pe/epm

Expertise, resourcing and evidence are the keys to effective litigation. The label 'creative' implies art, not logic. We do not argue 'against' laws. It is not a badge of honour. Lawyers for polluters use it to legitimise misconduct, including in court, and to drum up business.

@dbarnden @ElaineEDO Agree with your tweet. However, climate litigation is creative and requires creative lawyering to analysis and find ways to argue against laws designed to sideline the harm gov't policy is doing to the environment whilst promoting corporate profit in disregard of the environment.

Lol come on @DailyMailAU Your first story on 18/3 made me out to be a spoilt, rich private school girl and certainly sent lots of abuse my way. Two messages I posted about are from YOUR comment section. Now you think my response is “powerful.” Surely you’re a little embarassed?

This morning me and my co-litigants announced our decision not to appeal the Federal Court’s decision to overturn the “duty of care.” I’ve got no elegant articulate passionate words left in me. Someone go ask Sussan Ley her thoughts please

My court case against Sussan Ley brought me into the public spotlight two years ago. Since then I’ve been constantly hit by absolutely vile racism. Here’s a tiny sample, because enough is enough and now I’m going to talk about it.

I've been silent for 2 weeks because you know... but now I can shout it from the rooftops. 🔊 IPCC WG3 report finds: "Climate-related litigation [...] is growing [...] and in some cases, has influenced the outcome and ambition of climate governance."

So today an open letter I wrote to Scott Morrison was published in The Saturday Paper. It's the hardest thing I have ever had to write - here is some of it.

This is NOT creative lawyering. It is lawyers who understand law and grave climate impacts. Lawyers who are not conflicted, not beholden to partnerships in big firms. It is lawyers who build trust with under-represented clients. Ultimately though, it is about serious misconduct.
Chris McGrath@DrChrisMcGrath

This AFR story rightly says climate litigation is "an enormously creative space, so it will be about litigation strategy rather than pieces of legislation” afr.com/politics/feder…

Anjali Sharma is a litigant in the class action against the Federal government (in particular the Environment Minister, Sussan Ley) for failing to consider the impacts of #ClimateChange. She is, quite simply, amazing! #abc730 #auspol

I told the media yesterday that “we’ll be back.” And yet I think I was trying to convince myself more than them. But yesterday’s #FederalCourt ruling is Not. The. End. Climate action has never been a passion project, it’s about lives. People. That’s a fight you don’t give up 🤍

How appalling that protecting Australian children from climate change harm is not considered to be part of the role of the Environment Minister. Sussan Ley appealed the original court decision that there was a duty of care. Sad day for young people. #auspol #climateactnow

Students to keep fighting after duty decision The science and predicted impacts of climate change remain the same. Adults should do all they can to create a safe future for our children. We will continue to fight for a safe future.
