Whilst with @dbeckpartners We also got to check the back of the office (which used to be @MaryRoseMuseum ) and saw the graffiti from years gone by when this was the pay office for the dockyard and Charles Dickens Dad was the paymaster I haven’t left a meeting so inspired!

Jamie's been down at the impressive and intimidating #FortGilkicker in Portsmouth, recording this Grade II* Scheduled Monument and helping to bring it a brand new lease of life... These huge Victorian 'Palmerston Forts' were part of an extensive network of coastal defences, but most never fired a single shot in anger. Today, 80% are Scheduled or Listed, and 25% are on the 'at risk' register. Jamie and his research have been key to this one's conservation for the future.
