April 9, 1972 - The Boston Celtics defeated the Atlanta Hawks 127-118 behind 26 points each from Dave Cowens and John Havlicek. Atlanta was led by Pete Maravich with 37 points. The Celtics eliminated the Hawks in the best of 7 game series 4 games to 2.
