I just “love” people who say they support American farmers, but don’t like ethanol, or the way we produce food isn’t right, or like cotton only if it comes from Egypt. And also, we can’t know anything because we are farmers and that must mean we are not very smart.

@joedisomma No real subsidies. Just a blend mandate. The govt spends over $30 billion in oil subsidies. So by NOT using a higher blend of ethanol, you support big oil.

@dbnfarms I do support American farmers. I live in a farming community. But I don’t think government should subsidize the cost of ethanol. If it’s so great why does the government have to subsidize it? It needs to compete fairly.
