@dbzamour Roger always struck me as the type to not want a role of authority but rather one of power. He wanted to liberate himself of the role he was forced to play back in England, which is why the title of leader was always unappealing to him because it was shoving him back in that role

roger is so funny to me because he genuinely could assert power over jack (in fact he already was passively influencing/guiding jack’s leadership esp by the end) or take advantage of his cowardice but he just..doesn’t want to. he’d rather let jack be boss (on paper)
