Update 3/6 8:15 a.m. The Slidell OMV is currently unable to process transactions. We are actively working to restore service and will provide updates as soon as they become available.

We were live at 19th and Wisconsin this morning as someone got their car stuck in the slush. Triple A is reminding Winter drivers to keep a 6-8 second distance between yourself and the car in front of you and to slow down as you make way through roads still being plowed.

Orleans coroner’s vehicle still at the corner of Canal St and Bourbon St this morning. French Quarter remains shut down @WGNOtv

I’m live on Bourbon Street right now helping out @wdsu news department. Tragic situation early New Year’s Day morning. A car plowed down Bourbon Street in the French Quarter. As many 20-25 injured and sadly as many as 10+ killed.

It was quite the experience this morning
