The collective freakout over the Washington Post non-endorsement shows 1) the degree to which staff believed their endorsement really mattered, and 2) deep need in liberal circles to believe that the Washington Post was on their side.

FPGA tool chains have only gotten better and more open and easier to use. Why aren't we seeing more companies trying FPGA projects? Perhaps they are internally. But there's almost never company blogs about even just *trying* to put a workload on FPGAs. I guess it's the cloud that makes us refuse (not saying it's a bad thing) to think about hardware anymore? The only fields in software that experiment with hardware at the startup stage is AI infrastructure companies and quant firms.
