I think the "Bruins draft poorly" narrative is overblown. They traded a lot of 1st/2nd round picks to compete. Not saying that there haven't been swings and misses (2015 minus DeBrusk, Lysell seems like a miss) but they had mostly late-1sts (when they had 1sts) and still hit on a lot of 2nd/3rd/4th round guys.
