@jefielding If companies kept undated visibility into employees competencies then I sure they could leverage vs hire net new people. Seems inefficient to just layoff without this viewpoint.

Talked to a VP at a big tech company this week and despite all the layoffs, they are getting ready to ramp up M&A and have aggressive targets for 2024. It’s wild to think about all the effort to slim down the org only for corp dev to bulk it right back up.
