If you are just waking up in Delhi, here is the big news. India US have just issued a joint statement on trade agreement detailing for the very first time key things that have been agreed on. No need to go anywhere, I got it sorted for you here, the breakdown:

When the Mahatma launched the Quit India movement 82 years ago under the aegis of the Indian National Congress, Gandhi, Nehru, Patel, Azad, Prasad, Pant and many others were jailed. The movement went underground, enabled in part by the Congress Radio. The newly-released OTT movie Ae Watan Mere Watan is a stirring ode to the role played by the Congress Radio in the Quit India Movement. Usha Thakkar's book on this subject is another very powerful resource. Remember, the RSS and the founder of the Jan Sangh Syama Prasad Mukherjee actively OPPOSED the Quit India Movement. Mukherjee who was President of the Hindu Mahasabha then was actually part of the coalition govt in Bengal with the Muslim League

So many people on the 'right' had an issue with the anti communal violence bill back in the day. They took offense to the fact that the bill was biased and it saw the majority community as a potential perpetrator of violence always and minority community as an innocent victim always. It is strange then that very few complain today of equally draconian proposals from the "Hindu" "right" wing government where one segment of Hindu population is designated as a potential oppressor always and another far far bigger segment with a conglomerate of many Hindus groups is a potential victim always. I appreciate those who are raising a voice on this abomination of a proposal. It is just one of many. Not like we are seeing such for the first time anyway. So many people bite this bullet as a necessary cost of maintaining mythical Hindu unity. I don't care if I am labelled anti-national..anti-Hindu (unity)..anti-NaMo BJP RSS whatever.. It is my firm belief that this uncritical surrender to an extremely biased and sinister Oppressor-Oppressed framework to understand and govern Hindu society is essentially Saffron Marxism and nothing good will come out of this. This is Adharma. Times are such that Adharma can also help you get votes. Just because you get votes don't assume whatever helps you win votes is Dharma.
