If one of the major East Asian languages would become widespread even among non co-ethnics I would bet on Korean because it has an alphabet, tone isn't essential, and it already has tech to work alongside English and other major world languages seamlessly. Furthermore, Korean has more distinct sounds/syllables than Japanese or Chinese which makes it more adaptable.
