When we say all workers we mean ALL. WORKERS.

I have no words for what happened in Texas yesterday. I don’t have answers either. All I know is that it shouldn’t be like this. Something must change.

That’s the language we have in this contract. That’s what the future can be. The so-called “gig economy” can change. It can be better. It can me flexible hours and schedules but with benefits, real benefits, for all those workers.

The so-called gig economy is already here. So let’s make sure those workers have the flexibility to decide their own schedules but also enjoy ALL THE BENEFITS of being a union member. This can be the future. This can be what millions of workers enjoy.

After a long few months of bargaining I’m happy to say we’ve approved a great new union contract with @SchnuckMarkets. The men and women working at these stores showed up every day during a pandemic. They are essential. It’s time for the public to recognize that
