The price action on ATOM has been absolutely brutal recently. -18% on the week. To put that into perspective, NTRN, which may not even exist after 16th March, is only down -16%. At some point, there needs to be some concrete action about what's happening in Cosmos. Pretty much every app (and chain) is either leaving, closing down, or has closed. Everything seems to be "announcement any day now", but nothing actually happening. Still no Cosmos EVM on the Hub. Still no native stablecoin to replace Noble leaving. Still no Eureka (IBC V2) to Solana or L2/EVM. Still no native DEX to replace Osmosis going into maintenance mode. Still no native money market to replace Mars closing. Still no changes to the crazy 10% inflation on ATOM. Unless something happens soon, by the time something is actually implemented, there will already be no-one left.

The $ATOM token is getting pummeled after “bullish” news of a revamped delegations program by @interchain_io . The delegations program isn’t the main reason the token performs like shit. The main reason is that ICF / staking expenditures push the price down continuously.

It's sounds great, until you understand what is behind this delegation program: 1) ICF was the main dumpers of $ATOM They liquidate or transfer millions of ATOM during the 2021–2022 period when ATOM reached its all-time highs of $40–$44. By late 2024/early 2025, the ICF's share of the ATOM supply had dropped from 10% to roughly 3.3%. 2) ICF didn't have enough voting power, that's why they lost Proposal #952 - mintscan.io/cosmos/proposa… 3) ICF is afraid that they will have big problems, and they appoint their puppets in the form of Cosmos Labs 4) Cosmos Labs, under the control of ICF, tring to corrupt 70% of Community Pool, but they understand that they haven't enough voting power to pass this proposal - mintscan.io/cosmos/proposa… 5) ICF decided to increase own voting power to have possibility to pass proposals to allocate funds from the community pool, and they create a delegation program for validators The Consequences for the Community Pool - The goal of the Hydro/Cosmos Labs initiatives is to move ATOM out of the Community Pool (where it's hard to touch) and into the hands of these entities. Phase 1: ICF uses its 13.5M delegated ATOM to override any validator resistance and pass proposals to allocate funds from Community Pool. Phase 2: Millions of ATOM move from the Community Pool to Cosmos Labs. Phase 3: These ATOMs are sold on the open market to fund "operations." The Result: The price of ATOM drops, the community's treasury is depleted, and the ICF maintains its runway without touching its own BTC/ETH.

@pakomesscyber @cosmos So if 100000 companies, banks and institutions build on CosmosSDK , @cosmoshub will not take any value of that! Cosmos Is just a chain which use CosmosSDK. Nothing more , no utility of $Atom !

This has been a great week both in Cosmos and at Cosmos Labs. It's been a bit of a challenge not being able to talk about everything going on behind the scenes, but as usual the community has done some sleuthing in its endless search for alpha, and the market is starting to realize what's coming. The ATOM community remains our strongest asset, and when they eventually win (and they will) it won't be because they're lucky. It'll be because they deserve it.

You can use it forever without ever touching $ATOM. $ATOM only gets paid if the Cosmos Hub becomes a router: ▫️ IBC Eureka routing fees on real cross-chain traffic (Solana, Base, Arbitrum etc.) ▫️ Neutral RWA + stablecoin settlement + compliance middleware that banks actually pay for ▫️ Enterprise Hub services (SLAs, audits, PoA interop) wired to $ATOM stakers or buybacks None of these are live yet. If these fee surfaces don’t ship with explicit on-chain routing, the stack wins and $ATOM holders are on the sidelines, looking in. Router > Religion.
