@CaffeinaWeb3 @pcgamer Personally, I don’t care about disclosure and I’m not sure why anyone actually would care, other than those that just oppose AI. But soon every game will use it to some degree anyways… it’s going to create huge advancement opportunities. But sure, they can be more transparent.

@ddRick33 @pcgamer Faster development isn’t the issue. Undisclosed shortcuts are. You can build a game in 3 years instead of 6 — that’s fine. But if players don’t know how outcomes are achieved, progression loses trust.

@CaffeinaWeb3 @pcgamer I’m all for shortcuts when a AAA game takes 6-7 years to build, as long as the quality is still there. As long as there’s no job loss, it’s a good thing if it takes the same 200 person team to build a game in 3 years that would have taken 6.

@pcgamer “Man up” is a weird take. Players don’t care about tools. They care when effort gets replaced by shortcuts. That’s where trust breaks.

@amateuradam Educators do not run everything through AI detection tools. Most know that these tools are unreliable and inaccurate.

So, in the near future, when publishers follow educators and run everything through AI checkers before pressing print, will the work of the thousands of ripped-off authors be flagged as AI? A very weird side-effect of the situation we're currently in. 3/3

I ran some of my writing through an AI checker. 29.7% robot-generated! Thing is, it obviously wasn't. Ethical and creative reasons aside, the book in question is nearly a decade old - well before technology could do this. 1/3

A league source confirms to the @orlandosentinel what @BobbyMarks42 reported about Jonathan Isaac’s contract: If Isaac is on the #Magic past June 28, his $14.5 million for 2026-27 is guaranteed. Previously that $ was guaranteed if he played 52 games this season. He’s at 51 now.

I got the chance to play 6 hours of Crimson Desert last week, and all I'm gonna say is that this game is absurd (in a good way) Not making a full video about the event, but it was a great time. I'm looking forward to slingshotting myself off of more trees.
